The Project:
Trade launch and selling event for Mobil 1 Fuels in the summer of 2000.
Design Notes:
Theme was loosely adapted from Mission: Impossible 2 – which had just been released in Manila theaters on 12 July, 2000.
The logo.
The event included stunts and fight scenes, all performed on a series of catwalks which also served as the stage.
The show also incorporated the a sales promo. Guests who reserved a set quantity of Mobil Fuel on event night could win a trip to see the Sepang Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Promo material comps. The Grand Prize hadn’t yet been finalized, hence the references to both the Australian and Malaysian races.
What Happened:
Project implemented on July 28, 2000 at the Mandarin Oriental, Makati.
